Hyderabad: Raj Bhavan announces that, in light of the ongoing Writ Petitions (W.P No. 180 of 2024 and W.P No. 181 of 2024) filed by Dasoju Sravan Kumar and K Satyanarayana challenging the rejection of their MLC nominations, and the subsequent observation by the High Court of Telangana regarding the gentlemen’s agreement, no further steps will be taken in appointing individuals to the vacant MLC positions under the Governor Quota.
Considering this observation, Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has decided to refrain from taking any action on the State Government’s proposal to fill the two vacant MLC positions under the Governor Quota until the mentioned Writ Petitions are conclusively adjudicated by the Hon’ble High Court, a Raj Bhavan communique said on Wednesday.
