Saudi crown prince hosts luncheon honouring VIP Hajj pilgrims



Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted a reception at Mina Palace on Thursday, honoring VIP Hajj pilgrims. The event was attended by state officials, government agency heads, religious figures, and dignitaries. During the reception, the crown prince emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to serving the Two Holy Mosques and ensuring the comfort and tranquility of pilgrims.

Tawfig Al-Rabiah, the minister of Hajj and Umrah, highlighted the high-quality services provided to pilgrims through the collaborative efforts of over 40 public-sector organizations. He also mentioned the implementation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah, which focuses on facilitating the movement of pilgrims, streamlining visa procedures, and digitizing services.

Al-Rabiah further discussed the expansion of the Makkah Route Initiative, which simplifies the immigration process for pilgrims from seven countries and has benefited over 400,000 people this year. Additionally, he mentioned ongoing efforts to renovate Islamic historical sites, enhance destinations, and invest in staff training to serve and assist pilgrims.

Sheikh Mohammed Al-Hafiz Al-Nahawi and Mohammed Khalayleh delivered speeches, expressing their appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s management of Hajj season and its support for Islam and Muslims worldwide. The event concluded with a luncheon hosted by the crown prince.
