Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with a speed of 30-40Kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours and inNorth Coastal Andhra Pradesh on May 27.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places in Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours and on May 30, 31 and on June 1.

The same situation is likely to prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours and on June 1.

Dry weather is likely to prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam from May 28 to 31, in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh from May 27 to 31 and in Rayalaseema on May 28 and 29.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 38.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tirupathi in Rayalaseema, the report added.
