Last evening in Mumbai’s suburban Andheri, tragedy struck as a young trainee air hostess, Rupal Ogrey, originally from Chhattisgarh, was found lifeless in her apartment. Having relocated to Mumbai in April to pursue a career with Air India, the 25-year-old lived with her sister and her boyfriend, who had recently left town.
Growing concerned when Rupal failed to answer their calls on Sunday, her family enlisted the help of friends. Together, they visited her apartment, only to discover it locked from within. Fearing the worst, they promptly alerted the authorities.
Police swiftly responded, breaking into the apartment to find Rupal Ogrey in a distressing pool of blood. Rushed to a nearby hospital, she was tragically declared dead upon arrival.
In a determined effort, numerous police teams successfully located and apprehended the primary suspect, 40-year-old Vikram Atwal, who had been employed as a sweeper within the housing society. Currently, Atwal is undergoing questioning as investigators review security camera footage from the complex for potential leads.
Furthermore, the police are conducting inquiries with Atwal’s wife, who had been working as a housekeeper within the same housing complex. The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing.
