TSPSC announces new dates for group 2 exams

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Public Service Commission has made a significant announcement regarding the Group 2 examination, unveiling a new schedule that will see the examination take place on November 29 and 30.

This alteration in dates comes on the heels of a prior postponement by the KCR government, which had originally slated the Group 2 examination for the 29th and 30th of the current month.

To ensure the convenience and well-being of the candidates, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao took proactive steps in this matter. He issued a directive to Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, tasking her with the responsibility of finalizing the revised examination dates. The primary goal was to alleviate any potential hardship candidates might face, particularly when navigating conflicting schedules with other exams.

It is noteworthy that the Telangana Public Service Commission had initially planned to conduct the Group 2 examination on August 29 and 30. This examination was intended to facilitate appointments to over 700 positions within the Group 2 category. Despite meticulous preparations, a significant number of candidates were unable to attend the Group 2 examination due to a slew of consecutive exams scheduled for the same month. This prompted a collective call for a postponement, and as a response, candidates engaged in sit-ins and protests to voice their concerns. Consequently, taking into account the substantial demand and prevailing circumstances, the Commission decided to modify the examination date.
