1500th Milad Celebration Concludes in Hyderabad with ‘Milad Awards’ Ceremony
The Milad Awards ceremony was organised under the aegis of the Central Milad Juloos Committee, Hyderabad, to honour distinguished personalities who have rendered notable services in various fields, including education, healthcare, journalism, literature, oratory, religious services, public service and social welfare.
Hyderabad, August 8: The closing ceremony of the 1500th anniversary celebrations of the blessed birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was held at the City Convention Centre in Nampally, Hyderabad.
The Milad Awards ceremony was organised under the aegis of the Central Milad Juloos Committee, Hyderabad, to honour distinguished personalities who have rendered notable services in various fields, including education, healthcare, journalism, literature, oratory, religious services, public service and social welfare.
The awards were presented by prominent Ulema, Mashaaikh and members of the Central Milad Juloos Committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Syed Shaikhan Ahmed Qadri Shattari Kamil Pasha, President of the Central Milad Juloos Committee, said that there could be no celebration greater than the blessed Milad of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and no honour greater than an award associated with his blessed name. He said the awards were instituted to recognise individuals who have made exceptional contributions in different fields.
Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Muzaffar Hussain Khan Banda Nawazi, Convener of the Central Milad Juloos Committee, said the teachings and commandments of the Holy Prophet ﷺ should be followed and conveyed to others. He said the committee organises the Milad Juloos in Hyderabad every year, which witnesses the participation of a large number of devotees, and special arrangements are being made for this year’s procession as well.
Among those honoured with the Milad Awards were Maulana Dr. Syed Rizwan Pasha Qadri Laubali, Maulana Syed Baba Mohiuddin Noorullah Qadri Rahmat Baba, Maulana Hafiz Syed Abrar Ahmed Hussaini Sohrawardi, Maulana Syed Abdul Muhaimin Qadri Sajjad Pasha, Maulana Dr. Syed Khalilullah Owais Bukhari, Maulana Syed Shah Sattar Hussaini Banda Nawazi, Maulana Dr. Syed Ahmed Ghori Naqshbandi, Maulana Mufti Hafiz Wajihullah Subhani, Maulana Muhammad Mohiuddin Qadri Nizami, Maulana Muhammad Hamid Hussain Hassan Farooqi, Salahuddin Nayyar, Sardar Saleem, Maulana Dr. Tayyab Pasha Qadri, Qazi Farooq Aarifi, and several other personalities from religious, professional and social fields.
The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Anees Ahmed, followed by Naat-e-Sharif presented by Qari Shafi Shareef. The proceedings were conducted by Maulana Dr. Khwaja Shah Muhammad Shujauddin Ifteqari Haqqani Pasha.
Maulana Syed Khadir Mohiuddin Qadri, Junaid Pasha Zareen Kulah, Secretary of the Central Milad Juloos Committee, delivered the vote of thanks, while Maulana Sheikh Fareeduddin Zahed Chishti Karimi supervised the arrangements.
A large number of members of the Central Milad Juloos Committee, Ulema, Mashaaikh and distinguished guests attended the ceremony. The organisers said the awards were aimed at recognising and encouraging individuals who have made valuable contributions to society while commemorating the blessed occasion of Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ.
