4 injured as lorry collides with toll plaza in Telangana

Nizamabad: Four individuals sustained serious injuries when a lorry collided with a toll plaza at Indalvai in this district on Tuesday.

Police said that the lorry driver, who was under the influence of alcohol, collided with a car proceeding in front of it and then crashed into the toll plaza counter.

This resulted in two individuals in the car and two toll plaza workers sustaining serious injuries.

The injured were admitted to the Government hospital here for treatment. The lorry was subsequently removed from the toll plaza with the assistance of a crane.

Police, who registered a case, took the lorry driver into custody. Further investigation is underway.
