Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s Son Bandi Sai Bhagirath Approaches Telangana High Court for Interim Bail in POCSO Case

Bandi Sai Bhagirath, son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, approached the Telangana High Court seeking interim bail in the POCSO case registered at Pet Basheerabad Police Station.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s son Bandi Sai Bhagirath on Tuesday, May 12, approached the vacation bench of the Telangana High Court seeking interim bail in the POCSO case registered against him.

The move came a day after Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed the Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) to investigate the POCSO case involving Bhagirath.

The case is currently under investigation, while police officials stated that efforts are underway to locate and arrest Bhagirath.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Orders Investigation

According to reports, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy instructed the Telangana DGP to investigate the POCSO case registered against Bandi Sai Bhagirath.

Following the Chief Minister’s order, the investigation was intensified by the police department.

Kukatpally DCP Says Bhagirath Will Be Arrested Soon

Ritija, the Kukatpally Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), said police have stepped up the investigation against Bhagirath and stated that the Union minister’s son would soon be arrested.

The DCP visited Pet Basheerabad Police Station, where the POCSO case against Bandi Sai Bhagirath was registered on May 8.

Addressing the media, Ritija said she reviewed the statement recorded by the 17-year-old victim and added that more information was required in the case.

She stated that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) would meet the victim once again for further inquiry.

Police Searching for Bhagirath

The Kukatpally DCP said Bhagirath’s mobile phone has remained switched off for the past couple of days.

She added that police teams are making efforts to trace his location.

According to police officials, significant documentation related to the case has been prepared during the last two days.

Authorities have also drafted a plan of action to review the investigation steps already taken and determine further action in the case.

POCSO Case Investigation Continues

The POCSO case against Bandi Sai Bhagirath remains under investigation after it was registered at Pet Basheerabad Police Station in Hyderabad.

Police officials stated that further inquiry is underway, while the SIT is expected to conduct another interaction with the victim to gather additional information.
