Telangana Launches Youth and Sports Week Celebrations with Zumba Programme and 5-KM Walkathon in Hyderabad

Telangana launched Youth and Sports Week celebrations from May 18 to May 23 with a Zumba programme and 5-km walkathon at LB Stadium Tennis Complex in Hyderabad.

As part of the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika, the Government of Telangana launched Youth and Sports Week celebrations across the state from May 18 to May 23 with the objective of promoting fitness, sports culture, and youth participation.

The inaugural events were attended by Ministers Vakiti Srihari, Ponnam Prabhakar and AP Jithender Reddy along with Sports Authority Chairman Shivasena Reddy, Mal Reddy Ram Reddy, and Sports Authority Managing Director Sony Bala Devi.

Zumba Programme Organised at LB Stadium Tennis Complex in Hyderabad

The dignitaries enthusiastically participated in a Zumba programme organised at the LB Stadium Tennis Complex in Hyderabad.

The programme was conducted to encourage youth and citizens to adopt healthy and active lifestyles through sports and fitness activities.

Ministers Flag Off 5-Kilometre Walkathon in Hyderabad

As part of the Youth and Sports Week celebrations, ministers and officials also flagged off a 5-kilometre walkathon to create awareness about physical fitness, sports development, and community participation.

The walkathon was organised as part of the government’s efforts to encourage active public participation in fitness-related activities across Telangana.

Telangana Youth and Sports Week to Feature Competitions and Awareness Programmes

The week-long celebrations from May 18 to May 23 will include various sports competitions, fitness activities, awareness programmes, and youth engagement events across Telangana.

According to the government, the initiative reflects its commitment towards strengthening sports infrastructure, encouraging youth empowerment, and building a healthier society through active participation in sports and fitness activities.

The Telangana government stated that the Youth and Sports Week celebrations are aimed at promoting sports culture, improving fitness awareness, and increasing youth participation in community activities.
