Ranganath inspected flood-affected areas in Miyapur and directed the immediate construction of an additional stormwater pipeline to improve the flow of floodwater towards Pedda Kudi Lake. The inspection and directions come as authorities intensify efforts to prevent future waterlogging and improve stormwater management in the area.

Additional Stormwater Pipeline Ordered in Miyapur
During his inspection of flood-affected locations in Miyapur, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath reviewed the impact of recent heavy rains and assessed the condition of the drainage system.
To improve the movement of floodwater and reduce water stagnation, he directed officials to immediately construct an additional stormwater pipeline connecting the drainage flow towards Pedda Kudi Lake.
The measure is aimed at strengthening the area’s stormwater disposal capacity during periods of heavy rainfall.
Desilting of HDFC Junction Culvert Underway
As part of the ongoing flood mitigation efforts, authorities have begun desilting operations at the HDFC Junction culvert.
