Hyderabad Task Force Nabs 2 Interstate Offenders with 2 Country-Made Pistols and 7 Bullets in Mailardevpally
Hyderabad Task Force and Mailardevpally Police arrested two interstate offenders near Mehfil Hotel, Mailardevpally, and seized two country-made pistols, seven bullets, a Baleno car, and mobile phones worth Rs. 5 lakh.
The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Jubilee Hills Zone, along with Mailardevpally Police, apprehended two interstate offenders who were found in possession of two country-made weapons (pistols) and seven bullets. The accused were intercepted while travelling in a Baleno car bearing registration number TS23F1701 near Mehfil Hotel, Mailardevpally, Hyderabad.

Police seized two pistols, seven bullets, one Baleno car, and three mobile phones, collectively valued at Rs. 5,00,000. The accused were allegedly roaming in the Mailardevpally area with the intention of committing an organized crime. The accused have been apprehended and the investigation is ongoing.

- Address: Near Pakijana Ghar, Degloor Naka, Nanded, Maharashtra State
Weapons, Vehicle and Mobile Phones Seized
Police recovered the following items from the possession of the accused:
- Country-Made Weapons (Pistols) – 02
- Bullets – 07
- Baleno Car – Registration No. TS23F1701
- Mobile Phones – 03

Background of Accused Mudassir Hussain @ Shah Baba
According to the police, Mudassir Hussain @ Shah Baba is a native of Hyderabad and studied up to Intermediate.
In 2022, he went to Mumbai and completed an Able-Bodied Seaman course for six months. He later worked for L&T as an Able-Bodied Seaman for two months.
While studying Intermediate, he worked as a mediator in the car rental business on commission basis. Since several of his friends were involved in the car rental business, he also entered the trade.
Police stated that he purchased a Chevrolet vehicle for Rs. 1,35,000 in Mumbai and later sold it in Hyderabad through OLX for Rs. 1,75,000.
Thereafter, he continued purchasing vehicles from Mumbai and selling them in Hyderabad until 2024.
Contact with Criminal Associates
Police said that Mudassir’s friend Shoiab introduced him to Suraj Singh, a resident of Nanded, Maharashtra, who allegedly had a criminal background.
According to the police, Mudassir developed close contacts with Suraj Singh and his associates.
The press note states that he allegedly:
- Committed a dacoity in Karnataka State along with the associates.
- Participated in the kidnapping of a businessman in Maharashtra State.
Police said that Mudassir and his associates were subsequently lodged in Parbhani Jail, Maharashtra State.
After being released from jail, one of his associates allegedly gave him a pistol along with bullets for safekeeping.
According to police, due to financial difficulties, the accused and his associates allegedly planned to earn easy money by committing robberies using pistols.
Role of Ameer Khan
Police stated that Ameer Khan was born and brought up in Maharashtra State and occasionally travelled between Nanded and Hyderabad.
During this period, Mudassir Hussain @ Shah Baba allegedly established contact with him and involved him in criminal activities.
How the Accused Were Apprehended
According to the police, on 25-06-2026, credible information was received that some unknown persons were moving around in a Baleno car bearing registration number TS23F1701 in the Mailardevpally area with the intention of committing organized crime.
When the suspects reached near Mehfil Hotel, Mailardevpally, the Task Force and Mailardevpally Police intercepted the vehicle and apprehended the accused.

Authorities stated that the accused were allegedly moving with the intention of committing organized crime. The accused have been apprehended and further investigation is underway.
