Nitin Nabin Calls for Renewed Struggle for Telangana’s Development, BJP Inaugurates 9 New District Offices

BJP National President Nitin Nabin called for a renewed struggle for Telangana's comprehensive development during an event in Hyderabad where the party inaugurated nine new district offices across the state.

BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Sunday called upon party workers to launch a renewed struggle for the comprehensive development of Telangana, saying politics should be driven by service rather than power, sacrifice rather than self-indulgence, and dedication rather than the pursuit of wealth. On the same day, the BJP inaugurated nine new district offices across Telangana and described them as centres dedicated to ideology and public service.

BJP Inaugurates Nine New District Offices Across Telangana

The BJP inaugurated nine new district offices in:

  • Ranga Reddy Rural
  • Adilabad
  • Asifabad
  • Nirmal
  • Kamareddy
  • Siddipet
  • Medak
  • Wanaparthy
  • Nagarkurnool

The inaugurations took place on a single day amid what the party described as an atmosphere of great enthusiasm.

Nitin Nabin Says Politics Should Be Based on Service

Addressing the gathering, Nitin Nabin said every BJP worker should prepare for a renewed struggle for the comprehensive development of Telangana.

He said politics should be based on:

  • Service rather than power.
  • Sacrifice rather than self-indulgence.
  • Dedication rather than the pursuit of wealth.

He said the newly inaugurated district offices would function as “Centres of Resolve” (Sankalpa Kendras) reflecting the BJP’s ideology and “Centres of Service” (Seva Kendras) supporting the people.

Nabin also said the offices would inspire BJP workers who follow the motto:

“Nation First, Party Next, Self Last.”

Tributes to Sardar Patel, Telangana Martyrs and Sushma Swaraj

On the occasion, Nitin Nabin paid tribute to:

  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, describing him as the “Iron Man” who worked for national integration.
  • The martyrs of the Telangana statehood movement.
  • Late Sushma Swaraj, stating that she strongly raised the demand for Telangana in Parliament.

He said that although Telangana had been formed years ago, the dreams of the martyrs had not yet been fully realised and asserted that fulfilling those aspirations was the responsibility of the BJP.

Responding to criticism that the BJP is an “outsider” party, Nabin recalled that when the party had only two Members of Parliament nationwide in 1984, one of them was elected from Telangana.

He also paid tribute to senior BJP workers who, according to him, endured police lathi-charges, hardships, struggles and sacrifices to strengthen the party in Telangana.

BJP Criticises Congress and Regional Parties

Nitin Nabin criticised both the Congress and regional parties, accusing them of opportunistic politics.

He claimed that only BJP workers have the strength to remove governments that have treated the state merely as a means to enjoy power.

He also alleged that the Congress benefited politically from struggles carried out by BJP workers against the failures of the previous government.

According to Nabin, the Congress has historically placed political interests above national interests. He urged BJP workers to organise public struggles in every village and street to remove the current Congress government, alleging that it had failed in governance.

BJP Cites West Bengal and Modi Government

Nitin Nabin expressed confidence that history would repeat itself in Telangana, saying that just as the BJP expanded in West Bengal after struggles against violence and anarchy, the party would also succeed in Telangana.

He praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that 1.4 billion Indians are progressing together under his government.

He further said that the Modi government is working to fulfil the vision of:

  • “Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat” (One India – Great India) envisioned by Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee.
  • “Antyodaya” championed by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
  • Good governance goals set by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Leaders Present at the Event

The programme was attended by:

  • BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao
  • National General Secretary and Telangana State In-charge Sunil Bansal
  • State In-charge Abhay Patil
  • BJP Co-in-charge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy
  • State Organisational General Secretary Chandrashekhar Tiwari
  • Legislative Party Leader Aaleti Maheshwar Reddy
  • MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy
  • Ranga Reddy Rural District President Raj Bhupal Goud

BJP National President Nitin Nabin called on party workers to renew their struggle for the comprehensive development of Telangana, while emphasising politics based on service and sacrifice. During the event in Hyderabad on June 28, the BJP inaugurated nine new district offices, paid tribute to national and Telangana leaders, criticised the Congress and regional parties, highlighted the Modi government’s governance model, and urged party workers to intensify public outreach across the state.
