Advocate Khwaja Moizuddin Murder Case: Telangana Lawyers Demand Special Investigation Officer, Arrest of Three Absconding Accused

Senior advocates of the Telangana High Court and Telangana Bar Council members have urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to appoint a Special Investigation Officer in the Advocate Khwaja Moizuddin murder case, arrest three absconding accused, and order a high-level probe into alleged Waqf property irregularities.

Senior advocates of the Telangana High Court, including members of the Telangana Bar Council and designated Senior Advocates, have urged Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to immediately speed up the investigation into the murder case of Advocate Khwaja Moizuddin. Addressing a press conference at the Media Plus Auditorium in Hyderabad on July 1, the lawyers demanded the appointment of a Special Investigation Officer, a Special Public Prosecutor, the immediate arrest of three absconding accused, and a high-level probe into alleged irregularities in Waqf properties. The murder case investigation is currently ongoing.

Telangana Lawyers Seek Fast-Track Investigation in Advocate Khwaja Moizuddin Murder Case

At the press conference, the lawyers appealed to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to ensure that the investigation into the Advocate Khwaja Moizuddin murder case is expedited without delay.

They demanded the immediate appointment of a Special Investigation Officer to conduct a speedy and effective investigation into the murder case.

The lawyers also sought the immediate appointment of a Special Public Prosecutor to handle:

  • Bail applications.
  • Other miscellaneous cases.
  • Trial proceedings related to the murder case.

They further requested that the petitions already filed by the deceased advocate’s son be acted upon at the earliest.

Prominent Speakers Address Press Conference

The press conference was addressed by:

  • Sanaullah Farhan, son of the deceased Advocate Khwaja Moizuddin.
  • Mirza Nisar Baig, Advocate, Supreme Court.
  • V. Raghunath.
  • Pasham Sujatha.
  • A. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy.

The press conference was attended by 50 lawyers, including members of the Telangana Bar Council.

Lawyers Demand Arrest of Three Absconding Accused

The lawyers demanded the immediate arrest of the three absconding accused:

  • Abid
  • Munir
  • Chaush

They urged the government to ensure that all three accused are arrested without delay.

Demand for High-Level Probe Into Waqf Properties

The lawyers also demanded a high-level investigation into all Waqf properties managed by Mahboob Alam Khan, particularly:

  • Anwarul Uloom College
  • Mumtaz College
  • Madrasa Azizia
  • Other Waqf properties under his management

According to the lawyers, the investigation should examine:

  • Alleged irregularities in Waqf properties.
  • Alleged misuse of Waqf funds.
  • Alleged illegal encroachments on Waqf properties.

They proposed that the inquiry be conducted under the supervision of a retired High Court or Supreme Court judge.

Lawyers Allege Misuse of Waqf Funds Led to Murder

The lawyers also urged the government to take strict measures to protect Waqf properties from the alleged land mafia.

They alleged that the misuse of Waqf income worth lakhs of rupees resulted in the serious crime of Advocate Khwaja Moizuddin’s murder. They said an impartial and transparent investigation into the entire matter is essential.

The Advocate Khwaja Moizuddin murder case remains under investigation. Senior advocates of the Telangana High Court, along with 50 lawyers and members of the Telangana Bar Council, have urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to appoint a Special Investigation Officer and a Special Public Prosecutor, immediately arrest the three absconding accused—Abid, Munir, and Chaush, and order a high-level inquiry into the alleged irregularities, alleged misuse of Waqf funds, and alleged illegal encroachments involving Waqf properties managed by Mahboob Alam Khan. They also called for strict measures to protect Waqf properties from the alleged land mafia while the investigation continues.
