Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Releases Rs 1,009.15 Crore Final Rythu Bharosa Installment

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy released the final Rythu Bharosa installment of Rs. 1,009.15 crore to 1.44 lakh farmers in Khammam and launched the e-Pattadar Passbook programme.

Khammam: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday released the final Rythu Bharosa installment of Rs. 1,009.15 crore into the bank accounts of 1.44 lakh farmers during the Rythu Ashirvada Sabha held at Jagannathapuram village, Chinthakani Mandal, Khammam district. The Chief Minister also formally launched the distribution of e-Pattadar Passbooks and said the happiness in the eyes of farmers is the greatest blessing for the people’s government.

Rs. 9,000 Crore Credited to 73.30 Lakh Farmers in Nine Days

Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy said the government had credited Rs. 9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to the bank accounts of 73.30 lakh farmers over the past nine days.

During the event, he released the last installment of Rs. 1,009.15 crore for 1.44 lakh farmers and inaugurated the issuance of e-Pattadar Passbooks.

Government Has Spent Rs. 1.70 Lakh Crore on Agriculture in 30 Months

The Chief Minister said the government’s objective is to make agriculture a festival, not a burden.

He stated that the government had spent Rs. 1.70 lakh crore on the agriculture sector during the last 30 months with the aim of making farmers prosperous.

According to him, Rs. 36,135 crore has been deposited into farmers’ accounts under Rythu Bharosa during the past 30 months.

He recalled that Rs. 9,000 crore had also been transferred within nine days under the scheme in June last year.

Quoting a popular saying, the Chief Minister said, “Agriculture does not prosper when the bull cries, and a kingdom does not prosper when the farmer cries,” adding that the government’s goal is to see happiness in the eyes of farmers.

Welfare Measures for Farmers

Revanth Reddy said the government has spent Rs. 1.70 lakh crore over the last 30 months on farmer welfare through:

  • Rythu Bharosa
  • Farm loan waiver
  • Crop insurance
  • Remunerative prices
  • Bonus for fine variety paddy
  • Free electricity
  • Compensation for crop losses

He said the government spends an average of Rs. 5,500 crore every month on farmer welfare.

The Chief Minister also announced that the government has released Rs. 3,504 crore for maize farmers in the state.

State Finances and Welfare Schemes

The Chief Minister said Telangana had a debt of Rs. 8.11 lakh crore when the present government assumed office.

Despite the financial burden, he said the government has continued welfare schemes introduced by the previous government while also launching new welfare programmes.

He cited Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi as examples of schemes that are continuing.

He also stated that:

  • Rythu Bharosa assistance has been increased to Rs. 12,000 per acre.
  • The government has procured paddy worth Rs. 80,000 crore during the past 30 months.

Other Welfare Initiatives

The Chief Minister listed several welfare programmes being implemented by the government, including:

  • Issuance of ration cards to all eligible poor families.
  • Distribution of fine rice.
  • Construction of 7 lakh Indiramma houses.
  • Free electricity up to 200 units.
  • LPG cylinders at Rs. 500.
  • Free RTC bus travel for women.
  • Providing 1,000 buses to women’s self-help groups.
  • Bank-linked loans worth Rs. 60,000 crore to women’s groups.
  • Distribution of Indiramma sarees to women as a festive gift.
  • Filling 67,717 government jobs within one year of the government’s formation.

CM Predicts Increase in Telangana Assembly and Lok Sabha Seats

The Chief Minister said the next Telangana Assembly elections are expected to be held in May or June 2029.

He expressed confidence that the number of Lok Sabha seats in Telangana would increase from 17 to 26, while the number of Assembly seats would rise from 119 to 182.
