Water Supply Disrupted in Several Hyderabad Areas, HMWSSB Deploys Tankers

Hyderabad water supply has been disrupted in several areas. HMWSSB MD Ashok Reddy has ordered faster repair works and directed officials to send water tankers to affected localities.

Hyderabad: Water supply has been disrupted in several parts of Hyderabad, prompting Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Managing Director Ashok Reddy to review the ongoing repair works. He directed officials to complete the repairs at the earliest to restore normal water supply and instructed that water tankers be immediately deployed to affected areas to ensure residents do not face a shortage of drinking water.

HMWSSB MD Ashok Reddy Reviews Repair Works

Following the disruption in water supply, HMWSSB Managing Director Ashok Reddy reviewed the progress of the repair works.

He instructed the concerned officials to speed up the repairs so that normal water supply could be restored as early as possible.

Ashok Reddy also directed officials from the Operation and Maintenance and Transmission Wing to work in coordination and ensure that all technical and safety protocols are strictly followed during the repair work without any negligence.

Water Tankers Ordered for Affected Areas

Ashok Reddy instructed officials to immediately send water tankers wherever water supply has been affected to ensure residents do not face a shortage of drinking water.

He made it clear that no locality should suffer from a lack of drinking water until the repair work is completed and that all possible assistance should be provided.

Due to the temporary disruption, water supply has been affected in the following areas:

  • Erragadda
  • SR Nagar
  • Ameerpet
  • Vengal Rao Nagar
  • Yellareddyguda
  • Sanath Nagar
  • Areas around NIMS
  • Banjara Hills
  • Venkatagiri
  • BS Maktha
  • MS Maktha
  • Somajiguda
  • Several adjoining localities

HMWSSB Appeals to Residents

The Water Board has appealed to residents in the affected areas to use the available water carefully and avoid wastage until normal supply is restored.

Officials expressed hope that the repair work would be completed soon, after which water supply would resume normally in all the affected areas.

The Hyderabad water supply disruption has affected several localities, including Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet, Banjara Hills and Somajiguda. HMWSSB Managing Director Ashok Reddy has directed officials to expedite repair works, strictly follow technical and safety standards, and deploy water tankers to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply until normal services are restored.
