AP: TSRTC Bus Overturns, 21 Passengers Escape Miraculously

Kakinada: Twenty-one passengers travelling in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) super luxury bus had a miraculous escape as it lost control due to the sudden illness of the driver, rammed into a roadside ditch and overturned on the national highway near Kathipudi, 35 kms from here on Monday.
Police said the bus was on its way from Visakhapatnam to Bhadrachalam when the accident occurred.
The local people immediately rescued the passengers pulling them out.
The passengers suffered minor injuries and were given first aid at the local hospital.
The driver’s blood pressure level had come down leading to the mishap, police said.
Annavaram police sub inspector Kishore Babu has reached the spot and supervised the rescue and relief operations, police added.
