Hyderabad: Telangana BJP leaders have taken the upcoming parliamentary elections seriously. With all the key leaders losing the assembly elections, they are looking to contest the Lok Sabha elections and retain their prestige.

The BJP has finalised its candidates for six MP seats in Telangana. Out of the four sitting MPs, three were given tickets again. They are Secunderabad – Kishan Reddy; Karimnagar- Bandi Sanjay and Nizamabad – D. Arvind. The party also finalised the names of Konda Vishweshwar Reddy from Chevella, Dr Venkateswara Rao from Khammam and Boora Narsaiah Goud from Bhongir seat.

On the other hand, the party leaders DK Arun and Jithender Reddy are keen to contest from Mahbubnagar seat. The party leadership is likely to finalise the name of either of them from the seat. Most of the party leaders are keen on contesting from Malkajgiri and Zaheerabad MP constituencies. The party leader Etela Rajender is interested in contesting from Malkajgiri.

Among the national leaders, Muralidhar Rao’s name is also heard strongly for the Malkajgiri seat. On the other hand, the party leadership is also considering the name of Malka Komuraiah, who is the owner of private educational institutions from the Malkajgiri seat.

In Telangana, the BJP has decided to contest alone. The State party chief Kishan Reddy has already put an end to the propaganda that there would be an alliance with the BRS party. It is in this order that Vijaya sankalpa yatras are being held and efforts are being made to circumambulate the State. The Party leaders feel that after the assembly elections, the BJP’s positivity has increased in the State.
