ECI delegation led by CEC arrives in Hyderabad to assess assembly election readiness

During their three-day visit to Telangana, the members of the CEC delegation will assess the state's readiness for upcoming assembly elections by reviewing the election arrangements and preparations.

Hyderabad: A delegation from the Election Commission of India (ECI), led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and comprising Election Commissioners Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goel, along with senior deputy Commissioners and Deputy commissioners, arrived in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

During their three-day visit to Telangana, the members of the CEC delegation will assess the state’s readiness for upcoming assembly elections by reviewing the election arrangements and preparations.

Official sources have confirmed that the delegation will hold discussions with election management officials and organizations.

The team will also meet with District Election Officers (DEOs), Superintendents of Police (SPs), and Police Commissioners to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the election preparedness.

In addition, the delegation will convene a special meeting with the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DGP) to discuss the government’s cooperation in the electoral process. Further details will be disclosed in a press conference at the conclusion of the visit, sources added.
