Five lakh youth to get jobs in case Congress party comes to power in state: SS Sukhoo

Hamirpur (HP): Chairman of the HP Congress party election campaign committee, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhoo said on Wednesday that if the Congress government was formed in the state, five lakh youth would be given employment. This guarantee has been included in the election manifesto of the party, the indication of that was given by senior party leaders at Shimla recently.

He said this during a day-long sammelan of the youth wing of the party at Nadaun today. He said that once the government was formed all the vacant posts in all government departments will be filled and along with this, Rs 680 crore will be given to the entire state for start-ups so that the young generation was able to start their self-employment. He said that this loan will be interest free.

Addressing all the youth on this occasion, MLA Sukhu said that 5000 jawans in Himachal were waiting for their letter of appointment to join the army but the central government was sleeping over the issue and that was a matter of serious concern and deserved strong condemnation.

He alleged that the Modi government has ruined the dreams of all the youth by bringing the Agni veer scheme. He said that the Modi government was talking about One Rank One Pension, while in the new scheme, Agni veers have now been announced retirement by giving them without any post –retirement monetary benefits.

He announced in the function that if the Congress government was formed in the state, an allowance of Rs 1500 per month would be given to the daughters and women of the age group of 18 to 60 years. This will benefit half the population of the state.
Earlier, he was given a rousing reception on his reaching at Nadaun.
