A 21-feet Maharana Pratap statue has been unveiled at Begum Bazar Maharana Pratap chowk on late Wednesday night. This is the first of its kind of biggest statue installed at Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: A 21-feet Maharana Pratap statue has been unveiled at Begum Bazar Maharana Pratap chowk on late Wednesday night. This is the first of its kind of biggest statue installed at Hyderabad.
In 2007, a statue of Maharana Pratap was also unveiled by former President Pratibha Patil in Parliament House. The unveiled statue weighs two tonnes, which was made by artist Sunder Singh in three months.
The man behind this initiative and execution is Thakur Surender Singh, a youth leader from Rajput community, who has dedicated himself to bring this day and put his last efforts to install the huge statue. The entire Rajput community is thankful for his hard efforts.
Rajya Sabha Member Anil Kumar Yadav, MLA Makkan Singh Raj Thakur, Corporator Shankar Yadav and others participated in the statue unveiling ceremony.
The leaders and members of Rajput community from entire State also participated in the event.
