Hyderabad City Police launched Project Safe Stay and unveiled the Suraksha Nivas 1.0 guidelines to improve the safety of women and girl students staying in hostels and PG accommodations across the city.

Hyderabad: Giving top priority to the safety of women and girl students coming to the city for jobs and higher education, the Hyderabad City Police has launched Project Safe Stay. As part of the first phase, the ‘Suraksha Nivas 1.0’ guidelines brochure was unveiled by Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Sajjanar along with GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, IAS. The initiative aims to create a safer environment for women staying in hostels and paying guest (PG) accommodations across the city.

Hyderabad Police Launch Project Safe Stay
The Hyderabad City Police has launched Project Safe Stay with the objective of providing a safer environment for women and girl students who come to Hyderabad for employment and higher education.

‘Suraksha Nivas 1.0’ Guidelines Brochure Released
As part of the first phase of the project, Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Sajjanar unveiled the ‘Suraksha Nivas 1.0’ guidelines brochure.
The brochure was released jointly with GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, IAS.
The guidelines are intended to strengthen safety measures for women residing in hostels and PG facilities.

Special Meeting Held With Hostel and PG Managements
Following the brochure launch, Police Commissioner C.V. Sajjanar participated in a special meeting with the managements of hostels and PG accommodations under the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate.
During the meeting, he gave several suggestions on the measures that should be implemented to enhance the safety and security of women staying at these facilities.
Initiative Aims to Enhance Women’s Safety
The Hyderabad City Police said the primary objective of Project Safe Stay is to ensure a more secure environment for women and students living away from home while pursuing education or employment in Hyderabad.
The project is expected to encourage hostel and PG managements to adopt better safety practices.
