KCR’s Promise of Aasara Pension Hike and Development Initiatives | Latest News

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao vows to increase Aasara pension, addresses Congress' pension promise, highlights development plans in Suryapet, and warns about potential consequences of a change in regime.

Suryapet, Telangana: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) made a significant announcement regarding the enhancement of the Aasara pension and outlined several development projects aimed at benefiting the people of Telangana. Speaking at the inauguration of a medical college, the Superintendent of Police office, an integrated market, and a new Collectorate building in Suryapet, KCR assured the public that the details of the pension hike would be revealed shortly.

Taking the opportunity to address the Congress party’s promise to raise the pension amount to Rs 4,000 if they came into power in the State, KCR expressed skepticism. He questioned the feasibility of such a significant increase, especially in states like Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan where the Congress holds power. KCR recalled that during its 50-year rule, the Congress had provided a meager Rs 200 as social security pension. Highlighting the absence of a consistent policy across states, KCR cast doubts on the practicality of the Congress’ ambitious pledge.

KCR rallied support for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) candidates in the upcoming elections across 12 constituencies in the district. Exuding confidence, he predicted that BRS would secure victory in additional segments compared to the 2018 polls. KCR contrasted this with the performance of the BJP and Congress, who, despite being given numerous chances over five decades, failed to effect substantial change.

Underlining the potential consequences of a change in regime, KCR cautioned the public against the Congress’ leadership. He warned that if the Congress were to come into power, critical initiatives such as the 24-hour power supply and the Dharani portal, which is integral to the implementation of Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes, could be at risk. He emphasized that the scrapping of the Dharani portal might lead to the resurgence of middlemen in revenue and registration offices, potentially disrupting the smooth functioning of these initiatives.

Addressing a recent claim by a Congress leader that water from the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme wasn’t reaching Suryapet, KCR contested the assertion. He cited the abundance of water in various projects and how it has positively impacted paddy cultivation in the State. This highlighted the government’s focus on efficient water management and agriculture.

Expressing his satisfaction with the progress in Suryapet, KCR announced special funds for newly formed 100-gram panchayats in the district, allocating Rs 10 lakh each. He earmarked Rs 50 crore for the development of the Suryapet municipality and Rs 25 crore for other civic bodies. Additionally, KCR unveiled plans for the construction of an R & B guesthouse and a Kala Bharathi cultural complex in Suryapet, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to promoting cultural activities.

KCR underscored his administration’s dedication to the holistic development of all towns and citizens, irrespective of caste or religion. He assured the prompt disbursal of Rythu Bandhu amounts, affirming the government’s commitment to supporting farmers and agricultural communities.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s recent address in Suryapet showcased his dedication to enhancing the Aasara pension and his unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of the State. Through measured responses to political promises and by highlighting the potential consequences of a regime change, KCR demonstrated his resolve to maintain the progress and initiatives that have been pivotal in the State’s growth. As the elections draw nearer, the choices made by the people of Telangana will undoubtedly shape the path ahead. Stay tuned for more updates on these critical developments.
