MANUU VC Meets J&K’s Lt. Governor; Development of Budgam Campus Discussed
The Lt. Governor in the meeting assured full support in developing MANUU campus at Budgam, Srinagar and advised to incorporate studentโs feedback culture while maintaining the high standards of the University.
Hyderabad: Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), called on Honorable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar on 23rd September 2021 and discussed about various academic & research programs of MANUU. The Lt. Governor in the meeting assured full support in developing MANUU campus at Budgam, Srinagar and advised to incorporate studentโs feedback culture while maintaining the high standards of the University.
The Vice Chancellor had told the media, before meeting the Lt. Governor, support of local government and people is essential in developing the infrastructure of the proposed MANUU Campus at Budgam. He expressed the hope that construction work will start soon with their support. Higher Education funding Agency (HEFA) will also contribute, he added. Once the campus is ready the enrolment of students will also increase, he expressed the hope. Prof. Ainul Hasan also revealed that MANUU is seeking UGCโs approval to establish Foreign language division at Srinagar Campus which will include languages like Persian, Arabic, Chinese and German etc.
Earlier, Prof. Hasan presided over a session on “Role of organisations in SCoPE in Urdu” at National Urdu Science Congress organized by Vigyan Prasar, New Delhi and Central University of Kashmir, Ganderbal on September 22, 2021. He was also the guest of honour during valedictory session of Science Congress held yesterday.
The Vice-Chancellor also visited MANUUโs Regional Centre, College of Teacher Education and Arts & Science College Budgam. Dr. Ghazanfer Ali Khan, (Principal, Arts & Science College Budgam), Dr. Tarique Ahmad Masoodi (Principal, CTE Srinagar), Dr. Aijaz Ashraf (Regional Director, RC Srinagar) and other officials welcomed and interacted with him.
Prof. Ainul Hasan visited the Department of Persian at Kashmir University yesterday and interacted with the faculty & students. Persian Department will start sson at MANUU Campus, Srinagar, he announced.
