More Equipment, Rs 5 a Meal in NIMS: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao today stated that NIMS Hospital in the city will get more facilities in near future. He inaugurated Rs 12 crore worth various equipments in the hospital and inspected the functioning.
Later the Health Minister told media persons that the government will provide corporate services to the patients coming to the hospital. Harish Rao informed that NIMS will soon get 200 more ICU beds and 120 ventilators to improve services.
In addition to 89 ventilators 120 more will come to the hospital he said. The Minister asked the officials to start Rs 5 a meal in the hospital and help the people attending the patients get it. We have spent Rs 154 crore for the equipment in the hospital and all steps are taken to any virus he said.
The Minister said that there are no Omicron cases in the state of Telangana and the health wing is ready to tackle any situation. In the event of Omicron cases found in other states Telangana government took all measures to prevent the same, the health minister said.
We expect that the equipment will be made available in another 45 days, he said. The equipment launched includes endoscopy, MRU Lab, stem cell research facility, physiotherapy, bone Densitometer, sample transport system and water ATM.
He held a review on the facilities and offered to get more by spending adequate funds to improve services.
The minister said that a genetic diseases analysis and recognition lab was set up in the hospital. We started Rs 2.73 crore worth pneumatic tube system, Rs 40 lakhs worth Neuro Endoscopy, he added.
