Hyderabad: BRS party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha today demanded that a resolution be passed in the assembly that the projects on the Krishna River would not be handed over to the Union government. The State government has been advised to rectify the mistake by her.

She alleged that the State government was making baseless allegations that Telangana had been treated unfairly in the waters of Krishna River.

She said they were simply trying to defame the BRS party government over the issue. She also said all people knew that KCR was not a man, who would give up Telangana water rights under any circumstances.

She said it should be concluded that the Telangana movement was done for the sake of water and added that KCR and BRS party would never compromise on water rights of the State.

She alleged that CM Revanth Reddy said the government had agreed to hand over the projects on the Krishna River to the Centre. She said the State government had made a big mistake by handing over the Telangana projects to the Central government and added that to cover it up, they were making unfounded accusations against her party.
