Petrol, Diesel Price Hike: TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud Slams Centre Over Rising Fuel Rates

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud on Thursday expressed strong displeasure over the hike in petrol and diesel prices, alleging that the Central government has imposed another burden on the people. Reacting to the latest fuel price hike across the country, the TPCC chief said the Modi government is hurting the common man by continuously increasing petrol and diesel prices while people are already struggling with rising costs of essential commodities, gas, and electricity.

Mahesh Kumar Goud Criticises Centre Over Fuel Price Hike

Speaking on the issue of rising fuel prices, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Central government has put another burden on citizens by increasing petrol and diesel prices.

He alleged that the Modi government is “breaking the pulse of the common man” by increasing fuel prices across the country.

According to Mahesh Kumar Goud, people are already facing severe difficulties due to the rise in prices of essential commodities, cooking gas, and electricity.

He said the Central government’s latest decision has become more burdensome for the public.

TPCC Chief Alleges Centre Ignoring Falling Crude Oil Prices

Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that crude oil prices are falling in the international market, but the Centre is still increasing petrol prices and “looting the country.”

He said the measures taken by the Modi government would increase transportation costs, which would eventually affect the prices of all commodities.

“The common man will suffer greatly in the end,” he stated while criticising the fuel price hike.

BJP Government Accused of Supporting Corporate Policies

The TPCC president also criticised the BJP government over its election promises.

Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that the BJP had made several promises to the people during elections, but after coming to power, it remained limited to policies that benefited corporates.

He further alleged that the Modi government is focusing more on tax collection than public welfare.

Demand for Immediate Reduction in Petrol and Diesel Prices

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud demanded that the Central government immediately reduce petrol and diesel prices to provide relief to the public.

He said rising fuel prices would continue to impact transportation and increase the prices of daily-use commodities, further affecting common people across the country.
