Physiotherapist Arrested for Extortion Demanding ₹20 Lakh in the Name of ‘Hydra’

A physiotherapist identified as Bindla Vidhyalp Sinha has been arrested by the police for allegedly demanding ₹20 lakh in extortion under the pretense of assisting with a project related to 'Hydra.' Sinha was apprehended following a complaint by Rajender, the owner of the MCO, RLLP project, whom Sinha reportedly approached with his demands.

Sangareddy: A physiotherapist identified as Bindla Vidhyalp Sinha has been arrested by the police for allegedly demanding ₹20 lakh in extortion under the pretense of assisting with a project related to ‘Hydra.’ Sinha was apprehended following a complaint by Rajender, the owner of the MCO, RLLP project, whom Sinha reportedly approached with his demands.

According to reports, Sinha allegedly told Rajender that for a fee of ₹20 lakh, he would ensure that the project would proceed without any issues with Hydra and would also liaise with Commissioner Ranganath Mishra on his behalf. The demand was made in an attempt to leverage his influence and facilitate the project’s progress.

Rajender, suspecting foul play, reported the incident to the local police. The Sangareddy police acted promptly, leading to Sinha’s arrest. He has been charged with extortion, and an investigation into the matter has been initiated.

Sangareddy District Superintendent of Police, Channuri Rupesh, has warned that strict action will be taken against individuals engaging in illegal activities under the guise of any authority or organization, such as ‘Hydra.’ He emphasized that such incidents should be reported to the police immediately to prevent further exploitation.

The arrest underscores the police’s commitment to tackling corruption and criminal activities, and highlights the importance of vigilance and prompt reporting by the public.
