PM Modi wishes KCR speedy recovery

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wished a speedy recovery to former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who was admitted to Yashoda Hospitals here with a hip injury.

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wished a speedy recovery to former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who was admitted to Yashoda Hospitals here with a hip injury.

KCR fell in the bathroom at his farmhouse in Erravelli, on the outskirts of the city late on Thursday night.

In a post on ‘X’, the PM said “Distressed to know that former Telangana CM Shri KCR Garu has suffered an injury. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health.”

A health bulletin released by the Yashoda Hospitals said, Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao had a slip and fall in his bathroom at his residence and was subsequently brought to Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda for further care.

On evaluation, including CT scans, he was found to having left hip fracture ( Intracapsular Neck of femur fracture) , the bulletin said.

The 69-year-old KCR would require left hip replacement for the same and the usual course of recovery for such cases is expected to be six to eight weeks, it said.

KCR is being constantly monitored by a multidisciplinary team including Orthopedic, Anesthesia, General Medicine and pain medicine. His general condition is stable, the bulletin added.
