Prophet remark row: Music composer Vishal Dadlani sends a message to Indian Muslims
“I want to say this to Indian Muslims on behalf of a majority of Indian Hindus. You are seen and heard, loved and treasured. Your pain is our pain."
Hyderabad: Amid continuous protests by Muslims in India over ex-BJP spokeswoman Nupur Sharma’s ‘blasphemous’ comments, Bollywood singer-songwriter Vishal Dadlani sends a message of love and unity to Indian Muslims on Thursday.
Dadlani who frequently appears as a judge on the TV music contest ‘Indian Idol’, tweets, “I want to say this to Indian Muslims on behalf of a majority of Indian Hindus. You are seen and heard, loved and treasured. Your pain is our pain. Your patriotism is not in question, your identity is not a threat to India or anyone else’s religion. We are one Nation, one family”.
In another tweet feeling sorry about the ugly nature of Indian politics, Dadlani advised all Indians not to fall prey to the conspiracy of politicians, he states, “I also want to say this to all Indians. I’m truly sorry about the ugly nature of Indian politics, that will happily divide us into smaller & smaller groups, until we each stand alone. They are all doing that for personal gain, not for the people. Don’t let them win.”
Giving him a pat, Shashi Tharoor seconded his thoughts by tweeting, “
Warmly echoed,
@VishalDadlani– shabash for speaking for the vast silent majority!”
