Hyderabad: A large number of subsidy loan applicants crowded the office of Telangana State Minority Finance Corporation Telangana (TSMFC), located at Hajj House, Nampally, to avail the sanctioned Rs 1 lakh subsidy loan.
Over 2 lakh applicants from various districts of Telangana and Hyderabad submitted their applications, yet only 3950 people in Hyderabad were approved for the loan.
Despite it being a Sunday, applicants, including women, gathered at the Hajj House and stood in long queues, waiting for hours to find their names on the list.
The lack of notifications from the Minority Finance Corporation added to the frustration of the Hyderabad applicants. The demand was made to the Chairman of Telangana Minority Finance Corporation, Muhammad Imtiaz Ishaq, to notify those who received the Rs 1 lakh subsidy loan. Furthermore, there was a plea for the government to thoroughly review the applications of all the over 2 lakh applicants and approve their loans without haste. It was suggested that those who are selected for the subsidy should either be intimated via phone or the list should be pasted at the entrance of the Hajj House for the convenience of the applicants.
The announcement by President Telangana Minority Finance Corporation, Muhammad Imtiaz Ishaq, led to a situation where loan applicants, including a significant number of women, had to travel to the Haj House from different directions.
