In a tragic incident that occurred on a Monday morning at Pandit Nehru Bus Stand in Vijayawada city, Andhra Pradesh, an RTC bus tragically ran over the bus station’s platform, leading to the loss of three lives.
Passengers waiting on the platform bore witness to this unfortunate event, where a woman, a boy, and the bus conductor lost their lives under the bus’s wheels.
Additionally, several others sustained injuries. The accident unfolded on platform number 12, causing damage to the furniture on platforms 11 and 12. The preliminary cause of the accident seems to be related to brake failure.
This devastating incident took place as the bus, hailing from Vijayawada’s Auto Nagar depot, was en route to Guntur. The conductor, who sadly lost his life, was identified as Viraya from the Guntur-2 depot.
