Vijayawada: Three candidates have filed their nominations for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections on behalf of the ruling YSRCP.

YV Subba Reddy, Meda Raghunatha Reddy, Golla Babu Rao have filed their nomination papers. They handed over their papers to the Joint Secretary of the Assembly and the Returning Officer for the Rajya Sabha elections. Earlier in the day, the trio met CM YS Jagan at the latter’s camp office in Tadepalli.

Speaking on the occasion, YV Subba Reddy said Jagan was giving opportunity to the SC, ST and BC communities to climb the steps of Parliament like never before in the history. He said all three of them would win in the elections by utilising the opportunity given to them.

He exuded confidence that the YSRCP would win in the upcoming assembly elections as well. He said all the people wanted the Jagan government to come back to power. “We have filed our nominations with the blessings of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It is possible for Jagan how far he can go for an equal society,” he said.

He also said the weaker sections of the society had been given a big push and added that only Jagan was credited with sending ordinary people like him to the Rajya Sabha. “We are confident of winning 175 assembly seats in the upcoming assembly elections.

There is a lot of difference between Chandrababu Naidu and CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. In the past, Chandrababu did not give opportunities to SCs. Chandrababu’s own man, Kanakamedala, was sent to the Rajya Sabha. But Jagan is giving top priority to SCs, STs and BCs,” Meda Raghunatha Reddy said. He thanked CM Jagan for giving him this opportunity. He said he would work hard to ensure the victory of the YSRCP in the upcoming elections as well. (NSS)
