Hyderabad: In a remarkable showcase of chess prowess, students from Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) emerged victorious in various age group categories at the 6th AICF All India Open Prize Money Chess Tournament held at Puchalapalli Sundaraiah Function Hall, Hyderabad.
The standout performer in the Under-14 Girls category was B. Srinija, who secured the championship with an impressive 4 points out of 6 rounds. The competition witnessed intense battles, with Srinija’s strategic brilliance earning her the top spot.
Under-14 Girls Category Results:
- B. Srinija – 4 points (Champion)
- Greeshma – 3.5 points
- Aishanaz – 3 points
- Sahithi – 3 points
- Maimoona Fathima – 3 points
In the Under-16 Girls category, Joysi secured the 3rd position with 3.5 points, showcasing skill and determination on the chessboard.

Roshitha, representing TMREIS, claimed the 5th position in the Under-12 Girls category, while Pavani secured the 10th position in the Under-11 Girls category.

The achievement of these young chess prodigies was celebrated with a felicitation ceremony, where Vijay Kumar from TMREIS RIC2, Wajida, Principal of Asif Nagar Girls-1 (TMREIS), Pushpalatha, PET, and Shaik Fayaz, Chess Coach, acknowledged and honored the winners for their dedication and outstanding performances.
