TSCSB appoints dedicated “Cyber Warriors” in every police station
In a strategic move to enhance the state police's capabilities in tackling cybercrime, the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB) has identified and provided training to police personnel from each police station.
Telangana: In a strategic move to enhance the state police’s capabilities in tackling cybercrime, the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB) has identified and provided training to police personnel from each police station.
These trained individuals, known as “Cyber Warriors,” are tasked with handling reported cybercrime incidents within their respective jurisdictions.
Between February 1 and 13, TSCSB conducted training sessions for (858) Police personnel, primarily consisting of Police Constables/Head Constables across the state. The training covered a range of topics, including the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP), the 1930 Helpline, suspect identifier analysis, social media/financial fraud investigation, the usage of the CyCAPS application, PT Warrant Execution, Cyber Security, and the roles and responsibilities of Cyber Warriors, Shikha Goel, Director TSCSB said in a statement here on Tuesday.
These appointed Cyber Warriors will act as liaisons between TSCSB, D4C, and their respective Police Stations.
They will be responsible for conveying updates and statuses of reported cybercrime cases to TSCSB and offering support to the Investigating Officer.
Additionally, these Cyber Warriors will play a pivotal role in supporting awareness programs on emerging cybercrime trends, organized by PS officers, D4C/CCPS, she added.
