UoH Faculty awarded NASI Fellowship
The National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad, is the oldest of the three Science Academies of India.
Hyderabad: Prof. S. Venugopal Rao, Professor at the Advanced Centre of Research in High Energy Materials (ACRHEM), University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been selected as the Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences India (NASI), Allahabad for the year 2021.
NASI is the oldest science academy in India.
Prof. Venugopal Rao joined ACRHEM in the year 2007 as a Reader. He was promoted as a Professor in the year 2013. He has successfully guided 11 Ph.D. students and 5 more are working in his group. He has also mentored several post-doctoral, M.Sc., and undergraduate students.
He has published 1 book, 17 book chapters, and more than 350 papers in refereed journals and international conference proceedings, presented more than 150 papers in various international/national conferences. He has delivered more than 75 invited talks and 3 PLENARY talks.

It was visualized by Prof. Meghnad Saha at the Allahabad University in 1929 and was founded in the year 1930 with the objective of providing a national forum for the publication of research work carried out by Indian scientists and to provide them opportunities for exchange of ideas/concepts among themselves.
