The 30-year-old victim was found on Platform Number 8-9 by Station House Officer of New Delhi Railway Station police station.

New Delhi: A woman was allegedly gang raped by two railway employees while two others guarded the room where the attack took place at the New Delhi Railway Station. All four have been arrested, police said Saturday.

A distress call from the victim early Friday brought the incident to light. She informed that one of her attackers has been an acquaintance for past two years and he lured her to the spot with promise of a job.

The 30-year-old victim was found on Platform Number 8-9 by Station House Officer of New Delhi Railway Station police station.

The victim, a resident of Faridabad in Haryana, stated that she has been separated from her husband for the last one year and was going through divorce.

Around two years back she came into contact with the attacker through a common friend. He told her that he was a railway employee and could arrange a job for her.

On Thursday, he invited her to a party he was hosting at home on the occasion of his son’s birthday as well as the purchase of a new house.

She took the Metro to Kirti Nagar and around 10.30 pm, she was picked by the accused and brought to Platform No 8-9 of NDRS.

He asked her to wait in a hut meant for electrical maintenance staff. Soon he and his friend came into the room and bolted it from inside and allegedly sexually assaulted her one after another.

Two of his accomplices facilitated the assault by guarding the room from outside, said Delhi Police.

All four were arrested within two hours of the call. They have been sent to judicial custody.

The accused have been identified as Satish Kumar (35), Vinod Kumar (38), Mangal Chand Meena (33) and Jagdish Chand (37). All are railway employees in the Electrical Department, said Delhi Police.
