70-yr-old Saudi woman graduates; proves age no bar

Salwa Al-Omani, a 70-year-old woman from Saudi Arabia, expressed her happiness and renewed hope as she returned to school after a 46-year break and successfully graduated with honors from Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University.

In an interview, Salwa shared the story of her journey back to education later in life and the challenges she faced. She emphasized the significance of her graduation ceremony and the everlasting memory it created, especially with the presence of her daughters who shared her joy.

Salwa believes that the key to completing her studies and achieving her degree at the age of 70 was rediscovering hope, and she acknowledged the importance of collective cooperation in supporting female students at all educational levels, which helped alleviate the difficulties they encounter.
