Cold Wave Alert in Telangana, Minimum Temperatures to Drop by 2–3°C Over Next Two Days

Telangana is set to experience colder nights as minimum temperatures are likely to drop by 2–3°C below normal over the next two days, with dry weather continuing for a week.

Munsif News 24×7 | Hyderabad: Residents of Telangana should brace for colder nights as minimum temperatures are likely to fall 2 to 3 degrees Celsius below normal at isolated places over the next two days, according to the latest weather update from the Meteorological Centre in Hyderabad.

Temperature Drop Expected Across Telangana

Weather officials said the temperature dip will be noticeable in several pockets of the state, especially during late night and early morning hours. The cold conditions are expected to persist briefly before stabilising.

The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 8.2°C at Patancheru, observed during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, indicating the arrival of chilly conditions in parts of Telangana.

Dry Weather to Continue for a Week

Along with the temperature drop, the weather department forecasted dry weather across Telangana for the next seven days, with no significant rainfall activity expected during this period.

This combination of dry air and falling temperatures is likely to intensify the feeling of cold, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.

Advisory for Residents

With temperatures dipping below normal levels, residents are advised to:

  • Take precautions against cold, especially elderly people and children
  • Avoid exposure to cold winds during early mornings
  • Ensure adequate warmth during night hours

Farmers are also advised to remain alert, as sudden temperature drops can impact crops in certain regions.

Cold Conditions to Ease Gradually

Meteorological officials indicated that while the next two days may remain colder than usual, temperatures are expected to gradually return to normal levels thereafter, provided no new weather system affects the region.

The Telangana minimum temperature forecast remains under close monitoring as winter conditions strengthen across parts of southern India.
