The raid was conducted on April 12, 2026, at around 12:00 hours at a gas repairing shop located opposite Yuvan School in Sriram Colony, under Balapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
Accused Identified and Illegal Activity Revealed
The accused has been identified as:
- Datta Baburao Mane (28 years)
- Native of Latur, Maharashtra
- Currently residing in Jalpally, Hyderabad
During the raid led by Sub Inspector B. Dayakar Reddy, the accused was caught illegally refilling LPG gas from domestic cylinders into smaller cylinders without any valid license.
Illegal LPG Refilling Modus Operandi
Police revealed that the accused:
- Was involved in illegal gas refilling for the past 1–2 months
- Transferred gas from domestic LPG cylinders to smaller cylinders
- Sold them at higher prices to customers for profit
The accused confessed to carrying out the activity to earn easy money.
