In a major Cyberabad SHE Teams crackdown in Hyderabad, police conducted 116 decoy operations between April 11 and April 17, resulting in 36 individuals being caught red-handed for indecent behavior in public places.

According to K. Srujana, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Women & Child Safety Wing, Cyberabad, 34 petty cases were registered, while the remaining offenders were counselled as part of corrective measures.
Complaints, Rescue Operation and Legal Action
During the same period:
- 18 complaints were received from women through various channels
- The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued 1 victim
- 1 accused was apprehended under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act
These actions highlight the ongoing efforts of Cyberabad Police to ensure women’s safety and address public harassment issues.
Family Counselling Helps 41 Couples Reunite
The police also focused on resolving domestic disputes through counselling:
- 41 couples reunited with the help of family counselling centres
- Emphasis on peaceful resolution and support for families
This initiative played a key role in strengthening family relationships and reducing conflicts.
Awareness Campaigns Reach Over 1,800 People
As part of preventive measures, Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted large-scale awareness drives:
- 1,846 participants attended awareness sessions
- Topics covered included:
- Human trafficking
- Cyber harassment
- Child rights
- Stalking
- Cyber fraud
Helpline numbers such as 181, 1098, 100, and 1930 were widely promoted.
‘Give to Gain’ Initiative Held in Madhapur Firms
Under the “Give to Gain” initiative linked to International Women’s Day, awareness sessions were conducted at major companies in Madhapur, Hyderabad in collaboration with the SCSC Women Safety Forum.
Police officers including Inspector Hanuman and SI Ambika led interactive sessions using real-life examples to encourage reporting and improve awareness among employees.
