The Hyderabad Traffic Police conducted a two-day special drive against drunken driving on 05-06-2026 and 06-06-2026, booking a total of 422 drivers for driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol. The special enforcement campaign was carried out to ensure road safety, and officials stated that there will be zero tolerance towards drunk driving violations and that such drives will continue.

422 Drivers Caught During Hyderabad Drunk Driving Special Drive

According to the press note issued by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad, a total of 422 drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol during the two-day special drive.

The category-wise breakup of offenders is as follows:

  • 347 Two-Wheeler Riders
  • 33 Three-Wheeler Drivers
  • 42 Four-Wheeler Drivers
  • 0 Other Vehicle Drivers
