Muslim Man Dies After Mob Assault in Hyderabad; Questions Raised Over Police Response

Hyderabad: A tragic incident of alleged mob violence has been reported from Hyderabad, raising serious concerns over law and order and the growing trend of vigilantism in the city.

According to reports, a man identified as Mohammed Abdul Aziz was accused of inappropriate behaviour with a minor girl in the limits of the Kulsumpura Police Station. Following the allegation, a group of local residents allegedly confronted him and subjected him to severe physical assault.

Eyewitnesses said that a large crowd gathered at the scene and attacked the man. Videos circulating on social media appear to show a person being assaulted by a mob, although the authenticity of these videos has not been officially verified by authorities.

Police reportedly reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and took Mohammed Abdul Aziz into custody in an injured condition. His health later deteriorated further.

The incident has also led to questions and allegations regarding the police response. Some individuals have claimed that Abdul Aziz was taken to the Kulsumpura Police Station, where he reportedly lost consciousness, but was not immediately shifted to a hospital.
