Advocate stabbed to death in Telangana

Police on Tuesday said the deceased Advocate was identified as Malagundla Malla Reddy hailing from Hanmakonda.

Mulugu (Telangana): A 58-year-old Advocate was stabbed to death by a five-member gang at a bus stop in Pandikunta village in this district on Monday evening.
Police on Tuesday said the deceased Advocate was identified as Malagundla Malla Reddy hailing from Hanmakonda.
The incident occurred when the Advocate proceeding in a car to Hanmakonda after visiting Mulugu District Collector office, was attacked with sickles by a gang of five members who came in a car after Malla Reddy’s car driver slowed down the vehicle due to speed breaker at Pandikunta bus stop.
Two of them caught hold the car driver and three others stabbed Reddy to death with sickles by dragging him into the bushes.
Mulugu Superintendent of Police Sangram Singh G Patil, Assistant Superintendent of Police Kekan Sudhir Ramnath who visited the spot directed the police to investigate the case from different angles.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, police added.
