Hyderabad: Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav announced that all arrangements for the distribution of Fish Prasad in the city have been completed.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the Minister stated that on June 9, on the auspicious occasion of Mrigasira Karte, the Battina brothers will distribute fish prasad free of charge at Exhibition Grounds, Nampally.
He emphasized that the Battina family has been actively involved in the distribution of fish prasad for the past 60 years. Apart from Telangana, lakhs of people across the country are expected to attend the programme.
Minister Yadav mentioned that the family of Harinath Goud is responsible for offering this fish prasad. He also highlighted the coordinated efforts between GHMC, Water Works, and the Police Department. Additionally, all political parties and voluntary organizations have been requested to extend their respective service programs.
A dedicated team of 250 Battini family members and volunteers are actively engaged in this initiative. It was noted that this program had been suspended for the past 3 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to fish prasad, Karti counters have been established for take-home purchases.
Asking the cooperation from the people of Goshamahal, near the Exhibition Grounds, Minister Yadav assured that RTC buses, metro services, and railway services will be available from Nampally.
