Attapur Police Arrest Two Habitual Motorcycle Thieves, Recover Five Stolen Two-Wheelers; Two Accused Still Absconding
Attapur Police arrested two habitual motorcycle thieves involved in the theft of a Royal Enfield Himalayan near Shivarampally, Hyderabad, recovered five stolen two-wheelers, and booked the accused under Sections 305(b), 3(5), and 111 of the BNS.

The Attapur Police Station arrested two habitual offenders involved in the theft of a Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle near Pillar No. 295, Shivarampally, on June 25, 2026, and recovered five stolen two-wheelers during the investigation. The offence was allegedly committed by A1 Mohammad Shahnawaz @ Shanu, A2 Mohd. Moiz Mohiuddin, along with A3 Noor and A4 Farhan, who are currently absconding. Police said a prima facie case has been established under Sections 305(b), 3(5), and 111 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Accused Arrested in Attapur Motorcycle Theft Case
The arrested accused have been identified as:
- A1: Mohammad Shahnawaz @ Shanu, son of Mohd. Saheb Hussain, 18 years, Private Employee at Blinkit, resident of Gudi Ka Davakhana, Near Phool Bagh, Hyderabad.
- A2: Mohd. Moiz Mohiuddin, son of Mohd. Zubair Mohiuddin, 18 years, works in a cloth shop, resident of Farooq Nagar, Falaknuma, Hyderabad, native of Shalibanda, Charminar, Hyderabad.
- A3: Noor, resident of King Colony, Shastripuram (Absconding).
- A4: Farhan (Absconding).

- Resident of: Katedan, Rajendranagar, Ranga Reddy District
How the Motorcycle Theft Took Place
According to police, this is a case of organized automobile theft committed by A1 to A4 between 02:00 hours and 03:00 hours on June 25, 2026.
The incident occurred near Pillar No. 295, Shivarampally, Rajendranagar, within the jurisdiction of Attapur Police Station, Hyderabad.
Police stated that the complainant had parked his Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle (Registration No. TS07KB4061) in front of his restaurant near Pillar No. 295 at about 02:00 hours before leaving for personal work.
According to the investigation, A4 spotted the unattended motorcycle and informed A1 to A3. Acting on the information, A1, A2, and A3 reached the location on a white Honda Activa, which had earlier been stolen from the limits of Begum Bazar Police Station.
Police alleged that A1 stole the Royal Enfield motorcycle, while A2 and A3 assisted by towing the motorcycle away from the spot. The stolen motorcycle was later concealed at A1’s residence for future disposal.
Police Recover Five Stolen Two-Wheelers
During investigation, police established the involvement of A1 to A4.
After apprehending A1 and A2, police recovered the following stolen vehicles based on their alleged confession:
- Royal Enfield Himalayan Motorcycle – Registration No. TS07KB4061
- Suzuki Burgman Street Scooter – Registration No. TS12EY7776
- Honda Activa – Registration No. AP11AR5865
- Honda Activa – Registration No. TS12ET7301 (Crime No. 134/2026, U/s 305(b) BNS of Begum Bazar Police Station)
- Suzuki Burgman Street Scooter – Registration No. TS12EZ7836 (Crime No. 648/2026, U/s 305(b) BNS of Mailardevpally Police Station)
Police Say Accused Are Habitual Offenders
Police stated that A1 to A4 are habitual offenders with previous involvement in property offences.
Further, A1 and A2 were also involved in an Attempt to Murder case registered at Balapur Police Station. They were remanded to judicial custody and later released on bail.
According to the investigation, A1, A2, and A3 are childhood friends who allegedly developed bad habits. Police said they started stealing expensive motorcycles to roam on luxury bikes and lead a lavish lifestyle, while A4, described as a close associate, allegedly encouraged and instigated them by promising easy money.
Case Registered Under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita
Police stated that a prima facie case has been established against A1 to A4 under:
- Section 305(b) BNS
- Section 3(5) BNS
- Section 111 BNS
Investigators alleged that all four accused acted together as members of an organized group to repeatedly commit motorcycle thefts.
A3 Noor and A4 Farhan remain absconding, and police said efforts are underway to trace and arrest them.
