Congress Worker Set Ablaze in Alleged Murder Attempt in Warangal District

The victim, identified as Adepu Mahesh, sustained burn injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment. His condition has not yet been officially disclosed.
According to Mahesh, he received a phone call from fellow Congress worker Junnu Madhu, who invited him to the village. Upon reaching the location, he alleged that Pati Kumar, a known rowdy sheeter, confronted him and angrily asked, “What did you tell the MLA about me?”

Mahesh claimed that following the confrontation, Pati Kumar allegedly poured petrol on him and set him ablaze before fleeing the scene.
The victim also questioned how the accused, whom he described as a life convict, was out of prison, expressing concern over the circumstances under which he was allegedly free.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are verifying the victim’s allegations, including the accused’s legal status and the sequence of events that led to the attack.
