High Court Reserves Order on Dalit Bandhu Scheme

Hyderabad: A division bench of the High Court of Telangana, comprising of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Rajashekhara Reddy heard on the petitions on Dalit Bandhu scheme and kept the order reserved.
Mallapally Laxmaiah of Watch, Voice of People organisation has filed petitions asking the High Court to issue orders for the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme stating that State of Telangana has started the scheme before the issue of notification of the Election Commission, The petitioner said that the Dalit Bandhu Scheme meant not only for Huzurabad alone but it is for the entire state and it should be implemented in all the districts in the State.
The Petitioner argued that the Central government scheme (Mahila Potion Abhiyaan) is continuing, in the same manner Dalit bandhu Scheme should also be implemented keeping in view that Dalit people would be benefitted failing which it is the risk of committing suicide. He said it is not right for the Election Commission to stop the Dalit Bandhu Scheme and asked the High Court to immediately direct the government to implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme which was stopped by the Election Commission after hearing the argument, the High Court reserved judgment.
