Hyderabad: Tension reportedly prevailed at the Boyinapalli and Jawahar Nagar police stations following the arrests of BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), former minister T. Harish Rao and other BRS legislators.

Large numbers of BRS leaders and workers gathered outside the police stations after learning about the arrests. Several party workers staged a protest by sitting in front of the police station, raising slogans against the government.

The protesters accused the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government of targeting BRS leaders through what they described as vindictive actions. They demanded the immediate release of KTR, Harish Rao and the other leaders who, according to the protesters, had been illegally arrested.
