Hyderabad NEET Aspirant Dies by Suicide in Andhra Pradesh
The deceased has been identified as Vaishnavi Kante, a resident of Begumpet in Hyderabad. She had joined the Sri Bharati Institute Long-Term Coaching Centre in Kanuru, Krishna district, about three weeks ago to prepare for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
Hyderabad: A 19-year-old student from Hyderabad, who had recently enrolled in a long-term NEET coaching programme in Andhra Pradesh, died by suicide in her hostel room in Krishna district, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Vaishnavi Kante, a resident of Begumpet in Hyderabad. She had joined the Sri Bharati Institute Long-Term Coaching Centre in Kanuru, Krishna district, about three weeks ago to prepare for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
According to reports, Vaishnavi was staying in the institute’s hostel. She had recently returned home for a short visit and came back to the coaching centre two days later. After returning, she reportedly called her parents, expressing that she was finding it difficult to cope with staying away from home and requested them to take her back.

Her parents reportedly tried to console and encourage her to continue her studies. However, on August 4, Vaishnavi informed the institute that she was not feeling well and did not attend classes.
Later that night, around 9 p.m., two hostel roommates became concerned after noticing her room remained locked. They alerted the institute staff, who broke open the door and found Vaishnavi hanging from the ceiling fan. She was declared dead at the scene.
Her parents reached the hostel after being informed of the incident and lodged a complaint with the police. A case has been registered under suspicious death, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
Police said further inquiry is in progress, and the body was sent for postmortem examination. Authorities are examining all aspects of the case.
