Although only one person saw the large cat, precautions were taken by placing two cages at the location, according to Vishnu, the Forest Range Officer. These cages were strategically positioned at the entrance and exit of the aviation academy.

Senior forest officials revealed that a leopard had previously established its home in L.B. Nagar years ago, feeding on dogs at the dumpyard in Auto Nagar. Eventually, it was captured and released into the Amrabad Tiger Reserve.

L.B. Nagar boasts several densely forested areas, including the Mahaveer Harina Vanasthali National Park, two converted forest blocks now serving as urban parks in Gurramguda, and the premises of Prasar Bharathi towers covered in thick vegetation.
